Book: Music of the Ghosts, by Vaddey Ratner

A beautifully written book, though it's a grim topic for pandemic-era reading. 25 years after fleeing the Cambodian genocide as a child, a young woman returns to find out what happened to her vanished father. She meets a man known as the Old Musician, who says he knew her father while they were imprisoned. Teera must face the remnants of a gruesome past, while trying to still have faith in love and humanity. Not an easy read, but a good one.
